Repair of the wheel brake cylinder



If the wheel cylinder is not required to replace, it can be dismantled in the established state. Previously, remove the brake pads. Wheel brake cylinder should be replaced at the latest when the brake fluid penetrates the cuff. When replacing brake pads must always be removed from the cylinder anthers and look into the cylinder. If the anthers of the wet or the entire wheel cylinder covered with brake fluid, replace the cylinder. Also replacement is required if the pistons in the cylinder slide with difficulty, are grooves or rust. In one of these cases, the wheel is braked or not, or permanently inhibited.

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Remove the brake pads.
  2. Remove the anthers screwdriver. Be careful not to damage the caps.
  3. Remove both pistons with cuffs.

There may emerge a little brake fluid, put a rag. Remove the spring.

  1. Remove cuffs pistons, without damaging the piston.
  2. Wipe the inside of the cylinder with a clean cloth. On the working surface should be no striae and rust, if necessary replace the cylinder.
  3. Clear all the elements of alcohol or brake fluid. Follow instructions for handling brake fluid.

Do not apply fluid based on mineral oils, such as gasoline or kerosene, otherwise malfunction may occur in the brake system.

Setting

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Unscrew the valve pumping may be replaced. It does not lose the steel ball.
  2. If the pads are replaced, be sure to use all the repair kit.
  3. Put on the cuff on the pistons so that the sealing lips are directed towards the discharge of the liquid.
  4. Cover both the piston and the cylinder surface with special grease for brake cylinders, for example, the company ATE.

Do not use the old grease, or brake fluid is contaminated.

  1. Insert into the left wheel cylinder piston.
  2. Insert left and right spring piston.
  3. Wear anthers.
  4. Install the brake pads and brake drum.
  5. Bleed brake system. Thus, usually only enough to pump the cylinder where dissected pipelines. If after pumping the brake pressure is floating, you should bleed the entire system.
  6. Some times strongly press the brake pedal. This regulated rear brakes.
