- If no brake lights are lit, first check the fuse in the fuse box.
- If the fuse is OK, check the stop lamp, replace if necessary.
| - If the lamps are OK, check the brake light switch. The brake light switch is on the brake pedal on the pedal. When you press the brake pedal switch extends from the pin. Contact the switch is closed, and the brake lights light up.

- Check the brake light switch. To do this, disconnect the connector from the switch.
- Connect an ohmmeter to contacts of the switch. The resistance must be infinity.
- Press the brake pedal. The meter should now show 0 ohms. Otherwise, replace the switch.
