Security measures for the alternator

• When working on the electrical system in the engine compartment is required to disconnect the battery earth cable.

This data is erased from the memory of the electronic control unit of the injection and the security code radio. Therefore, before disconnecting read carefully the instructions in Section Removal and installation of the battery.

• Do not mix up the cables and generator voltage regulator. Mark the cables before disconnecting tape.
• Do not disconnect the battery or voltage regulator on the engine is running.
• Do not remove the generator when the connected battery.
• When electric welding is required to disable the battery.
