Replacing fuses



To prevent short circuits and overloads electricity consumers individual circuits are protected by fuses. There are two fuse boxes, one in the left compartment for legs, and the other in the engine compartment near the battery.

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Use 2 different types of fuses. Standard fuses are used for low power, the main fuses for high power.
  1. Remove the fuse box cover.
  1. Before replacing the fuse, always first disconnect the appropriate consumer.
  2. Blown fuse is identified by the molten metal strip
  1. Remove the defective fuse. To remove the fuse in the fuse box cover in the cabin there is a polymer tweezers.
  1. Insert a new fuse of the same amperage.
  2. Rated current fuse is on the back of the handle. Furthermore the handle has a color marking, on which also can determine the nominal amperage.

  1. Refit the fuse box cover.
  2. If the newly inserted fuse blows after a short time, you should check the corresponding current loop.
  3. In no case do not replace the fuse length of wire or something similar, as because of this can cause serious damage to electrical equipment.
  4. Should always have in the car a set of spare fuses. The fuse box is provided to them free space.
  1. If the headlights or other electrical appliances do not work, although the fuses are OK, check the main fuses in the engine compartment, and replace if necessary.
  1. Disconnect earth cable from the battery.

This data is erased from the memory of malfunctions of the engine or a protective code of a radio receiver. Before disconnecting the battery should read instructions in Section Removal and installation of the battery.

  1. Remove and replace the fuse 30 A.
  2. To replace the main fuse 80 A to remove the fuse box.
  3. Open the cover, unscrew and remove the fuse terminals.
  4. Insert a new fuse, screw terminals and set the fuse box.
  5. Connect the earth cable to the battery.
  6. If available, set the clock and set the security code radio.
