Disconnecting and connecting the connectors

PERFORMANCE ORDER

To disconnect the cable connections on the fuse box or electrical consumers should not pull the cord and the plug.

Plugs feature a variety of locks. Press the latches in the places indicated by the arrows at the same time, disconnect the plug.

When you connect the plug to compress until the latch clicks.

When checking the leakage current or voltage measurement verification probes can only be inserted from the back side of the plug (on the side of the cable). If the probes are inserted into the socket connector, the socket are deformed, leading to a weakening of the contact.

In the case of waterproof connector (in the engine compartment) probes should not be inserted from the side of the cable. In this case the separate connector. Ensure that when inserting the probe terminals are not damaged.

When replacing the terminal in the plug insert with the open side of a narrow screwdriver between the clamping tongues and terminal. Squeeze the tab up and remove the terminal back. Insert a new terminal until it clicks. Pull the cord to make sure that the terminal is secured.
