Removal and installation of the fuel pump



Withdrawal

The union of the fuel pump

1 - nipple discharge fuel to the drain valve
2 - nipple for supplying fuel from the tank


PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Remove the drain tube from the pump and the fuel supply.
  2. Remove the two nuts securing the pump.
  3. Remove the pump, heat-insulating spacer, grommets and a pusher.
  4. Remove the cover of the pump, flush with gasoline and blow compressed air strainer.


Setting

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Replace the cover so that its alignment pin goes into the pump housing.
  2. Install heat-insulating spacer, giving the drain hole in the side of the cylinder.
  3. Install the plunger and bushings.
  4. Place the pump and tighten the nuts.
  5. Connect the fittings to the pump discharge pipe and the fuel supply.
