Removing and installing tailgate (station wagon models)

Withdrawal

PERFORMANCE ORDER

After opening the tailgate, turn the key off the lock and remove the door trim panel (six screws). Remove the screws lining the inside handle, remove liner, and then release the trim panel from the latch. Unscrew and remove the bottom cover. Remove the Phillips screws from the inside door handle. Unplug terminal block wiring from the right side of the lock, remove the lock from the pull off the left side of the castle. On models with central locking disconnect draft from the vacuum actuator. Remove the bolts from the lock and pressing the lock lever set it to the locked position. Remove the lock through the opening frame of the door.

Setting

Install in reverse order, making the following adjustments. On models equipped with a central locking system, adjust the vacuum actuator so that after unlocking Rod had no backlash. The value of a free wheeling external handle should be equal to 1.0 mm; if necessary, move the safety stop, and then insert a screwdriver through the hole for the top bolt and adjust the position of the lock. Wrap and tighten the bolt.
