Compression Test
Checking compression allows you to judge the state of the engine. Namely - checking can be set in order, or worn valves and pistons (piston rings). Further test results indicate, it is necessary to replace the complete engine or repaired. To test the need compression tester.
The difference in pressure of the individual cylinders of the engine must not exceed 5.0 bar. If one or more cylinders have a pressure difference of more than 5.0 bar, this indicates a malfunction of valves, piston rings and wear of working surfaces of cylinders. If the wear limit is reached, the engine should be repaired or replaced.
When checking compression engine oil temperature must be at least 30 ? C. The oil filter should be at hand, if necessary, warm up the engine. Engine temperature should not be too high since except when unscrewing the spark plug can damage the threads in the cylinder head.
PERFORMANCE ORDER | 1. Turn off the ignition. | 2. Remove the nozzles. | | 3. Remove the valve plug off the fuel supply. | A warning If the plug will not disconnect, while cranking the engine will leak fuel.
| 4. Check the compression pressure. | 5. Replace the nozzle. | 6. Insert the plug on the valve to reduce the amount of CO. |
