Rear Axle - Removal and installation



Withdrawal
1. Raise the rear of the vehicle and axle stands under the body.
2. Support the truck with a jack under the rear axle gear unit.
3. Remove the wheel.
4. Disconnect from the driveshaft gear.
5. Disconnect the cable of a manual brake lines and hydraulic brakes (Ch. 10).
6. Remove the lower nuts of both shock and compress the shock.
7. Remove from the body of the stabilizer rod (chapter 11).
8. Remove the upper and lower longitudinal rod.
9. Disconnect the rear axle cross bar (chapter 11).
10. Gently lower the rear axle, and take off the spring (the procedure for removing and installing springs described in Ch. 11).
Setting
11. If it is intended to replace the rear axle, then remove the rear brake assembly axis and gear and move all the details on the new beam
12. Installation of the bridge is carried out in reverse order.
13. Bleed the brakes (Ch. 10).
