Torsion - removal and installation



1. Lift the front of the vehicle.
2. Loosen the nuts and remove the adjusting bolt (see photo).

3. Remove the cover and remove the retaining ring (photo)
4. On rear-wheel cars, move the lever torsion from the body toward the rear of the vehicle and remove the torsion bar. Remove the lever torsion with the lower control arm (see photo).
5. On all-wheel drive cars Remove the bolts torsion arm to the lower arm (photo) and remove the torsion bar with the inner lever, moving it toward the front of the car.
6. Check the condition of the torsion bar, the presence on it of torsional deformation, damage, check the integrity of the splined endings.
7. On rear-wheel cars secure arm torsion bar on the lower lever, tighten the bolts to the specified torque. Grease slots and insert the torsion bar in the lever from the suspension.

8. At four-wheel drive vehicles secure the torsion bar on the lower lever and tighten the bolts to the specified torque.

Caution 1.
If filmed the two torsion bar, set them to their former places, guided by markings R (right) and L (left).

9. Lift jack lower lever all the way into the frame buffer arm (photo).
10. Establish a fixed lever and adjust the initial position of the movable arm torsion bar so that the gap G as set out in the Technical data (see photo).
11. Install the snap ring in the groove of the movable arm and put a cover.
12. Turn the nut of the fixed arm, set the size L protruding bolt (see photo).

13. Lower the car on wheels and crimp suspension. Check the swing of the lever H at these points (see photo). If the size of h is not as specified in the technical data, the rotating nut bolt torsion bar, set the standard size.
14. Check and Adjust the wheel alignment (performed in the service station).
