Anti Slip Regulation ASR
Cars with anti-lock braking system (ABS) may additionally be equipped with Traction Control System (APS).
On front-wheel drive MTA prevents slippage of the drive wheels under hard acceleration developed by automatically reducing engine power. At all speeds APS works in conjunction with ABS. Failure of ABS is broken and the work of APS.
APS is automatically activated after starting the engine. If necessary, the pressing system can be turned off and turned back on.
When the system is off warning lamp ASR.
Normally, the MTA always on. Only in certain exceptional cases where the desired wheel slip, preferably a system shut down, such as:
- When driving with snow chains; - When driving in deep snow or on loose ground; - When rocking a stuck vehicle.
After overcoming such sites need to once again turn traction control.
To ensure trouble-free operation of APS requires that all the wheels were dressed in the same tires. The diverse paths running tires can lead to an undesirable reduction in the power developed by the engine. A warning Driving style should always match the state of the road surface and driving conditions. This is achieved through the traction control enhanced security vehicles should not give rise to any risk of driving!
Because of traction control under adverse road conditions greatly facilitated or even becomes possible to drive off with the car seat, the car's acceleration, overcoming steep ascents.
