Check the switch on the power transmission

Most power consumers switched on and off switches, actuated by hand. There are also switches actuated automatically. These switches include, for example, oil pressure sensor, and the brake fluid level. The main task of the circuit breaker opening and closing the current loop. There are switches, opens the circuit mass, and switches, break the plus circuit.

Check switches and electric lamps

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Remove the appropriate switch.
  2. Simple switches have only two contacts for cables. In this case, one pin must always be energized (+), and after switching, and also to another contact. There are also switches with multiple contacts. For these switches to determine the scheme to which the terminal voltage must be applied, if necessary, pre-switch on the ignition.
  3. Check the indicator is applied to a voltage switch. If the indicator lamp is lit, turn on the switch and check whether the voltage at the output terminal. If voltage is present, then the switch is OK.
  4. When the input terminal voltage is absent, there is a break in the wiring. The wires should be checked by the scheme where necessary to lay a new cable.

Check switch sensors

For switches, sensors include, for example, oil pressure switch, level sensors, and brake cooling liquid.

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Connect the ohmmeter indicator, or the input and output wires of the sensor to disconnect the cables of the switch.

Switches, screwed into the engine block, usually do not have a ground terminal, so as both poles serves as the switch body weight.

  1. When switch closed indicator should show the current flow. It is best to test fit the ohmmeter: When the closed switch should read 0 ohms, with open sensor infinity ohms.
  2. Serviceability level sensors coolant and brake fluid fastest you can check by turning off when the ignition wire from the sensor, close it to ground, for example, on the engine block. If the warning light on the instrument panel, the fault lies in the sensor.
  3. A special case - the oil pressure sensor: engine stopped contact closed (warning light off), the sensor opens at a certain pressure oil.
