Checking the direction indicators
Stroke of the direction indicators and alarm produced a relay, so-called chopper turn signals. If the rhythm is flashing quickly on one side than on the other, with "fast" side of lamp failure or there is a broken wire. For all other faults often cause a relay. To check the relay off. With 10/89 vol. | | - Disconnect the relay and check individual contacts on the current flow. At the same time set a limit on the ohmmeter measure kiloomah (k). In the following contacts must be current or flow resistance: a - e; a - f; c - a; c - d; c - e; c - f; c - g; c - h; h - a; h - c; h - d; h - e; h - f; h - g.
|
- In the other contacts the current should not flow or resistance to be equal to infinity.

|
From 9/85 on 9/89 MY. | | - Connect via auxiliary cables plus battery terminal B, the mass of the battery to the terminal E. Then, between terminals L and E or E and ground connected in parallel 2 indicator lamps (21 W). The lamps should be blinking in a normal rhythm, otherwise replace the relay.
|
- If there is a new switch, gently insert a thin wire into the relay connector between terminals B and L
 | This should not be damaged sensitive relay. Before installing the ends of the wire to bend to avoid sharp edges. Set faulty relay in place. Connector connection is so long that the relay is inserted in spite of the jumper. |
- Switch on the ignition. If we now turn the lever turn signals corresponding lamp lights up without blinking. Switching on and off lever, you can set the rhythm. However: As soon as possible to establish a new relay.
- If the direction indicators are off in spite of the jumper contacts fault is the switch or the electrical wires.
