Camshaft

Camshaft lifted upward when installed cylinder head.
A warning

If timing details will be used again, they must be installed in its place. To avoid confusion, you should make a special box to store them.

Withdrawal

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Disconnect a wire of "weight" (-) from the battery.
A warning

This erased anti-theft radio code.

2. Remove the cross tube of the air filter.
3. Remove the cylinder head cover.
4. Set the engine to top dead center ignition. To do this, scroll through the engine until the match marks on the crankcase the camshaft and crankshaft belt pulley. Note: The top dead center (TDC) is the highest position, which reaches the piston motion in the cylinder. Thus it is necessary to distinguish dead ignition point, after which the piston compresses the intake air, and a top dead point, after which the piston pushes the combustion gases.
5. Install the transmission to the idle position and with a star, strengthening the central crankshaft pulley bolt, rotate the crankshaft in the direction of rotation, ie. E. Clockwise. Turn up until the marking "OT" (TDC) on the belt pulley is not located under the pointer.
A warning

Do not rotate the engine backwards. In no case did not turn it over the camshaft sprocket bolt.

6. Simultaneously should coincide labeling (arrows) at the flange-shaft and on the cover of the first bearing. If these markings are not aligned, turn the crank for one full revolution.
7. Remove the chain tensioner.
8. Cars with height adjustment: unscrew the discharge oil pump and hose connections with the set aside. Remove the O-ring and drive plate.
A warning

Do not loosen both screws with hexagon socket for securing the cover. These bolts have a continuous thread that is visible between the cover and the crankcase.

9. Mark the position of the distribution gear and control circuit with respect to each other by means of a varnish or graver, pre-wiping cloth is a place on the chain and camshaft sprocket.
10. Fix the camshaft gear, which insert into one of the holes in the gear pin or a large screwdriver.
11. Remove the bolt and remove timing gear. For vehicles with height adjustment Remove the flanged sleeve.
A warning

The control circuit must remain more gears meshed with the crankshaft and a fuel pump. Otherwise, change the valve timing, which can lead to engine malfunction.

12. The control circuit is set aside and attach the wire to the cylinder head.
13. Mark the position of the varnish camshaft bearing caps.
14. Remove the camshaft bearing caps.

A warning

To avoid damage to the camshaft, should strictly observe the sequence of loosening.

15. First, unscrew the two screws on the camshaft bearings 1, 3 and 5 (white arrows). Then loosen both screws of bearing caps 2 and 4 alternately and gradually (by 1/2 turn, and one turn) until it comes off counter (black arrows).
16. Remove the cam up.
17. Remove the washer (arrow) for the axial fixation of the camshaft from the cylinder head and check its condition, replace if necessary.
18. Pull out the pusher plate with a rubber siphon (d 30 mm), for example, HAZET 735-2.

A warning

Do not use the siphon operation magnet: wherein the sliding pusher magnetized surface, and eventually they may precipitate fine metal chips, resulting in damage to the cams and tappets. Siphon can be made independently from the household wall-mounted hook and sucker.

Before removing, thoroughly clean the surface of the pusher.

Setting
A warning

Only install the camshaft with the index "13". The index is cleared next to the label to indicate the TDC at the camshaft flange.

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Clean camshaft and bearing caps with benzine oil and grease, clean the contact surfaces of the seals.
2. Washers for axial locking cam-enter into the groove of the cylinder head.

A warning

If a new camshaft or processed cylinder head, after screwing the bearing cap bolts should be checked for smooth rotation of the camshaft.

3. Grease a new camshaft with engine oil and insert into the cylinder head.
A warning

Bucket tappets are dismantled.

4. Install the camshaft bearing caps in accordance with the designations and evenly tighten to 25 Nm At the same time, rotate the camshaft.
5. To rotate the camshaft in place of bolts screw bolt with hexagon socket M 10h30 (01).
6. If the camshaft rotates hard individually loosen the bearing cap bolts, until you find the place of jamming.
7. Remove the camshaft and measure the landing place of the bearing. The diameter of the bearing neck: 30,934-30,950 mm.
8. If the former is mounted camshaft, it should check for runout.
9. Grease bucket tappets engine oil and install.
A warning

Install pushers at the same place as before dismantling.

10. Lubricate the cam and put into the cylinder head so that the TDC mark (arrow) points vertically upwards. At the same time pay attention to the tightness of axial lock washer.
11. Install the bearing caps 2 and 4 and tighten screws lightly by hand. Then alternately tighten the bolts in sequence on one turn, and finally tighten to 25 Nm
12. The remaining bearing caps can be installed in any order. Torque: 25 Nm
13. Remove the camshaft gear from the cylinder head, and so set the control circuit to coincide marking.
14. Put the timing gear on the flange of the camshaft. Center the timing gear using the adjusting pin.
15. On vehicles with height adjustment, lubricate and install the flanged sleeve.
16. Replace the timing gear to 25 Nm and finally tighten the bolt spanner by 90 ? (1/4 turn). When tightening the distribution gear, use as a counter support pin or screwdriver.
17. Install chain tensioner.
18. Install the oil pump discharge if it is dismantled, and screw the flange with a torque of 10 Nm, after setting a leading disk and a new sealing ring.
19. Install engine in the ignition TDC and check the coincidence of the markings on the crankshaft pulley and camshaft flange (arrows).
20. Install the cylinder head cover and tighten its mounting bolts to a torque of 10 Nm Before that, check the seal for damage and replace if necessary.
21. Install the cross tube of the air filter.
22. Connect the "weight" of the battery (-).
23. Set the clock.
24. Set the anti-theft code for the radio.
25. Warm up the engine and check the tightness of the cylinder head cover.
