Compression

Compression check allows you to draw conclusions about the state of the engine. It will help determine if the valves or pistons (piston rings) in good condition or are they worn. In addition, the audit can determine whether the engine is subject to replacement or repair is necessary in the complex. To control needs compressometer designed specifically for the diesel. Compression pressure of the new engine should be 26-32 bar. The pressure differential between the individual cylinders should not exceed 3 bar. If one or more cylinders have a pressure different from the others by more than 3 bar, then this is an indication of defective valves or worn piston rings of pistons in the cylinders.

The sequence of actions to control the compression is given for 2.0-liter engine.
PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Lift the hood.
2. Remove the nozzles.
3. Remove fluid reservoir for windshield wipers, disconnect it and set aside.
4. The engine capacity of 2.0 liters: that when you turn the engine with the starter fuel is not injected, the locking lever (arrow) must be set to "stop". To do this, connect the vacuum pump to a tank (arrow) of the fuel pump. Create a vacuum in the tank of about 400 mbar and keep it in control all the time compression.
5. Several times turn the engine starter to remove carbon deposits and soot.
A warning

Set the transmission to idle and apply the parking brake. During cranking not lean over him, an accident could occur!

6. Screw Compression (01) with a coupling element (02) and the connecting piece (03) to place the nozzle in the pre-chamber of the cylinder to be tested.
7. Ask the assistant to press the accelerator pedal to failure and to keep it in check.
8. Turn the engine approximately 9 turns, until no further pressure rise on the meter.
9. Remove the value of a controlled size and consistently check up a compression in all the other cylinders. Then compare the measured values with nominal values. Keep in mind that the results depend on the measurement used compression tester. If one or several cylinders compression pressure is below the minimum, it is necessary to check the sealing of the cylinder.
10. Remove the Compression (02) and set the injectors with new gaskets.
11. Remove the vacuum pump.
12. Install the wiper fluid reservoir and secure the bolts.
13. Lower the engine cover.

Features engine capacity of 2.2 / 2.5 L

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Remove the cross tube of the air filter.
2. Remove the cover cylinder head cover (4).
3. Remove the nozzle (18) with the fuel injection pipes (17).
4. Compression (01) screw, according to the instruction manual using a connector part (02) to the pre-chamber. Install the new chart paper (03).
