Approximate adjustment of headlights

For precise adjustment of headlights requires a special measuring device, so you should entrust the job workshop. A similar service is offered as some filling complexes. Check and adjust their own headlights.

Preparing Your Car for a rough adjustment of headlights

1. The fuel tank should be full. Otherwise, place the ballast in the trunk (in half-filled tank - 30 kg).

2. Behind the wheel should be an assistant (otherwise use the ballast weight of 75 kg).

3. Tyre pressure should correspond to the norm.

4. Put the vehicle in front of the wall. The distance from the wall to the vehicle must be exactly 5 meters (Fig. 9.22).

1. Measure the distance from the floor to the center point of both headlamps. Value aside on the wall and draw a line S1.
