Changing the oil filter

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. The oil filter should be replaced every 10,000 kilometers on engines manufactured before 1980, and every 8000 km run on engines manufactured after 1980
  2. Place some container under the oil filter, remove the center bolt of the filter housing, drain the oil and remove the filter element.
  3. Wash the filter housing with kerosene and dry. If necessary, remove the spring seat and bolt from the housing and replace the O-ring.
  4. Insert the new element, set the body and tighten the central bolt. Turn the body, make sure that the O-ring is correctly positioned in its slot.
