Removing the rods and pistons



PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Remove the cylinder head, crankshaft front oil seal and the oil pump.
  2. Remove the return pipe oil dipstick tube from the housing tray. If necessary, the bottom plug insert made of soft metal.
  3. Remove the bolts securing alternator bracket, if necessary.
  4. Remove the bolts and nuts and remove the cover from the crankcase sump. Separate with a lever lower half of crankshaft rear oil seal.
  5. Check marks on the connecting rod bearing caps and, if necessary, by means of their otmarkiruyte punch according to the number of rods and cylinders.
  6. Rotate the crankshaft so that the crank pin of 1st cylinder occupied the lowest position, then remove the nuts and remove bearing cap easy blows of a mallet. Leave bearing shells in the connecting rod and cap.
  7. Move the piston with a rod up the cylinder hammer handle and remove it through the top of the cylinder. Loosely cover on the connecting rod.
  8. Repeat the operations described above, the piston and rod in a second cylinder, then on the 2nd and the 5th, 3rd and 4th cylinders.
