Removing the intermediate shaft and sprocket




Cut vibration damper and crankshaft pulley

If the engine has not yet been removed from the car, first do the following:

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Remove the radiator.
  2. Remove the air cleaner.
  3. Remove the tensioner distribution chain.
  4. Remove the distributor.
  5. Remove the intake manifold on the engine model M 110.
  6. Remove the water pump drive belt / alternator.

Engine M 123

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Bring the piston of 1st cylinder TDC.
  1. Remove the bolt and the rail housing and a spacer.
  1. Note the position of the groove in the drive shaft, then remove the shaft from the cylinder with the help of pliers with long socks.
  2. Remove, wherever present, the hydraulic pump control system height rear suspension.
  3. With internal hexagonal socket wrench, unscrew the cap screws from the front of the cylinder and remove the gasket.
  4. Remove the bolt from the camshaft sprocket, keeping it in a fixed position by means of a metal bar, passed into one of the holes.
  5. Slide the sprocket, remove it from the chain and tie to one side.
  6. With internal hexagonal socket wrench, unscrew the pulley bolts and vibration damper to the front flange of the crankshaft.
  7. Using a hammer or puller remove the lower chain guide axis right through the hole in the flange and remove the guide up. If there are no holes, remove the flange.
  1. Remove the bolt from the intermediate sprocket, keeping it from turning with a metal rod passed through the hole in the sprocket.
  1. Remove the restraining bolt chain on the left side of the cylinder.

    Removal of restrictive distribution chain studs

  1. Push the countershaft back and remove the asterisk.
  2. Remove the locking bolt bearing and washer.
  1. Using suitable bolt pull the intermediate shaft with the front bearing.
  1. Remove the bearing from the shaft.


Engine M 110

Removing the intermediate gear (motor M 110)


PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Remove inertial stripper cap on the left side of the cylinder.
  2. Remove the oil pump drive shaft with a screw puller.
  3. Remove the internal hex socket wrench pulley bolts and vibration damper to the front flange of the crankshaft.
  4. Remove top plug from the TDC sensor arm, then unscrew and remove the oil pressure reducing valve.
  5. Remove the bolts and remove timing case gasket. Remove the leash.
  6. Hold the intermediate gear from rotating, remove the bolt lubricant and remove the washer.
  7. Remove the chain pin bounding the left side of the cylinder block.
  8. Tapping on the intermediate room, slide it back and remove upwards.
  9. Close wipes clean the lower part of the camshaft drive.
  10. Remove the locking bolt bearing and remove the snap ring and washer.
  11. Using suitable screws, remove the intermediate shaft with the front bearing. Remove the bearing from the shaft.
  12. If necessary, remove the rear bearing puller from the engine block.
