Replacing the chain camshaft

Removing link supply chain


PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Remove the spark plug and cylinder head cover (right side of the engine M 110).
  2. If necessary, a cam may be removed to facilitate the rotation of the motor.
  3. Turn the engine on two complete fight and make sure that the chain is a connecting link. If there is such a link, put a cloth on a star drive cams and moved using the ends of the axis of a single link.
  4. Remove chain tensioner.
  5. Move the removable unit to drive the cam sprocket, remove the unit and attach the new chain camshaft with a new level. Hold the chain in engagement with an asterisk and have an assistant crank the engine while landing a new chain on sprocket.
  6. The free end of the chain, located at the star insert link rear and replace the washers and collars. If only one clamp, it should be a closed end facing the direction of rotation.
  7. Install chain tensioner.
  8. Install the cam follower and check the distribution phase.
  9. Install the valve cover and the spark plug.
