Dismantling of a head of cylinders



All units should be marked to ensure correct assembly.


PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Remove the cover plate from the top of the valve.
  2. With spring compressor valves alternately compress a spring so that it was possible to remove the cutting locks (crackers). Release the device and remove the plate and spring. If the plate expands with difficulty, release device and gently tap with a hammer on the top. Make sure that the device was planted a tightly on the plate spring.
  3. Remove the valve from the cylinder head.
  4. Slide the valve stem oil seals to the top of the guides and remove the seat springs. If necessary, remove the ball cam follower fingers from the head.
