Adjusting the parking brake



PERFORMANCE ORDER

Some of these models are equipped with additional safety (SRS). Before proceeding to service components located in the vicinity of the airbags, always unplug the system SRS (see chap. Onboard electric equipment).

1. When properly adjusted parking brake lever stroke his drive at applying moderate force to the handle must be 8 ÷ 10 clicks for models 1993 and 1994 Vol. and 10 ÷ 11 clicks for models from 1995 MY.
2. If the lever stroke is less than a specified allowable number of clicks, the brake may not fully dispensed, which is fraught with wedging brake. When an excessively large during the handbrake lever may not provide sufficient reliability of holding the vehicle at a parking it on a slope.
3. In order to ensure access to the drive controller, remove parking brake cable assembly center console (see chap. Body).

4. Turn the adjusting nut Get the required amount of lever travel. To pull the rope nut should be turned clockwise to loosen - against.

5. Replace the console (see chap. Body).
