Bleeding brake system



PERFORMANCE ORDER

Bleeding brake system produces protective glasses. If you accidentally hit the brake fluid in your eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water and consult a doctor!

Bleeding the hydraulic system is made to remove it from the air entering the path when the service brake, hydraulic lines or replacement GTZ, and when lowered below the minimum allowable liquid level in the reservoir of the master cylinder.


1. If the air was due to the fall in the level of liquid in the tank GTZ, or when disconnected from the GTZ brake lines to be pumping the brakes on all four wheels.
2. When disconnecting the lines from any of the calipers / wheel cylinders will be sufficient to pump just this particular brake.
3. If carried disconnect the brake lines from the union located between GTZ and one of the brakes, only pumped over this part of the brake circuit.
4. On models with ABS, turn off the ignition and disconnect the modulator antilock four-pin wiring harness.
5. Repeatedly depress the brake pedal with the engine to clear the residual vacuum in the brake servo.
6. Remove the cover from the tank GTZ necessarily mean-spirited in a tank a fresh liquid, then enclose under cover of polyethylene and screw it into place.

Do not forget to regularly check the fluid level in the reservoir in the course of pumping. Excessive levels drop fraught hit in the air by GTZ, which will bring to naught all the efforts made and will entail the need for pumping the entire brake system.

7. Enlist the help of an assistant, prepare a fresh supply of the brake fluid, glass container partially filled with brake fluid, the length of plastic hose firmly onto the valve to wear leveling, and a suitable open-end / ring spanner for releasing / tightening the valve.
8. Loosen the valve pumping brake, rear right wheel, then re-tighten it so that it is easily and quickly let go of in the course of the procedure.

9. Tighten the valve on a suitable plastic or rubber hose, the second end lower in the partially filled with clean brake fluid transparent vessel. Slice the hose must be completely submerged in the liquid.

10. Ask the assistant to squeeze out a few times slowly brake pedal, thereby raising the pressure in the system.
11. When fixed in the lower position of the brake pedal slightly open valve pumping so that from it began to replace the brake fluid. Watch out for the release of fluid from a hose. A few seconds later, when the pressure weakened, close the valve and allow the assistant to release a pedal.
12. Repeat the procedure until the last two paragraphs, as long as the valve starts from the free flow of air bubbles in the liquid, then go to the braking mechanism of the left rear wheel. Operating in a similar manner, bleed the mechanism, then the mechanisms of the right rear, and finally - the right front wheel.

Always make sure that the liquid level in the tank GTZ did not fall too low!

13. In no case do not add to the old brake fluid reservoir, - it is highly hygroscopic and as eventually absorbs a lot of moisture, which leads to a drop in its boiling point and, consequently, to a decrease in braking efficiency. Furthermore, the presence of moisture in the hydraulic system contributes to the accelerated aging of the material of flexible brake hoses.
14. Upon completion of pumping into the tank GTZ add fresh brake fluid, bringing its level back to normal. On models with ABS do not forget to connect the wiring to the modulator pressure.
15. Check the efficiency of the brakes. Pedal at squeezing should provide solid resistance - soft feel her stroke indicates the presence of hydraulic circuits of air and the need to repeat the procedure of pumping.

In no case did not proceed to the operation of the vehicle without being absolutely sure of serviceability of functioning of brake system!
