Adjustment and replacement of the rear wheel bearings
Check On the raised and securely fixed to the vehicle stands quickly turn the rear wheels and check for noise in bearings and resistance to rotation backlash. Take the rear wheel hand at "6 o'clock" and try to shake it in a vertical plane, and the allowable clearance is not more than 0.5 mm. If you play great, you must check and adjust or replace the wheel bearings. To service the front wheel bearings require dismantling of the front hub bearing rear wheels can be replaced during routine maintenance.
Replacement Lift the rear of the car and fix on supports. Remove the wheels and lower the parking brake lever. Using a chisel and hammer, remove the dust cap of the hub, obstukivaya it around until it is displaced and it can be removed. Unbend a fillet and turn away a nut of a nave. When installing, use a new nut. Pull the unit a bit out of the hub, and then install the original position. This operation is to push forward the outer bearing and washer on the axle so that they can be removed with your fingers. Remove the hub, install it on a suitable work surface and a screwdriver, remove the bearing inner ring. The solvent was removed all remnants of the old grease from the bearings, hubs and axles. You can use a small brush, in this case, be careful that the bristles of the brush do not get inside the support rollers. Dry the parts with a jet of compressed air. Carefully inspect the bearings for cracks, wear and uneven development. Bearings and rings - a single set, so the new rings require the installation of new bearings. Similarly, the replacement of the bearings in the hub set new ring. To fill the high-temperature bearings use lubricant, which is packed between the rollers, conical surface and the bearing housing. Apply a thin layer of grease on the axle, the outer and inner surface of the bearing arm and the gasket. Push a small amount of lubricant inside each bearing in the hub. Thumb shape layer at these points to provide additional lubrication and keep a thin layer of lubricant from leaking out of the bearing. Place filled grease inner bearing into the hub and add a little lubricant on the outside of the bearing. Set on top of the inner bearing a new strip, which is openly directed to the bearing and evenly press the gasket into place. Lubricate the lug pads, set the unit of the hub axle and replace the grease filled outer bearing and seal. Screw a new nut on the axle and adjust the bearing preload as follows: - Tighten the nut of the initial moment specified in the technical data; - Turn the hub two or three times to set the roller bearings, then loosen the nut one turn, making sure that the brakes are not moved;

- Attach a spring balance to the top of the wheel studs and measure the point at which the hub begins to turn (this value determines the resistance of the oil seal) (Fig. 2.19); - Tighten the nut until resistance is (the point at which the hub begins to turn) becomes H at 3,9-9,8 greater than the resistance of the seal; - A hammer and a center punch hammer in a nut fillet into a groove axis. Fill the dust cap with lubricant and install it with a hammer and a core. Establish wheels and lower the car to the ground. Tighten the wheel nuts. Repeatedly press the brake pedal to adjust the position of the brake pads, and then check the parking brake lever stroke and adjust it if necessary.
