Replacing oxygen sensors

WARNINGS
Be careful when dealing with a sensitive oxygen sensors, to avoid damage.
For oxygen sensors are attached flexible cord and plug, which can not be removed from the sensor. Damage or removal of the flexible wire or connector may adversely affect his work.
It is necessary to remove grease, dirt, etc. With the electrical connector and the sensor end.
When cleaning the oxygen concentration sensor can not use solvents.
Handle the sensor carefully.
The casing of the silicon compound should be installed in the correct position to prevent it from melting and violation of the proper functioning of the sensor.

The sensor is installed in the exhaust manifold, it is possible to access from the engine compartment.
Since the oxygen concentration sensor with a cold engine is difficult to remove, warm the engine up to a temperature of 48 ? C.
Disconnect the connector from the oxygen concentration sensor.
Mark the position of the housing of the silicon compound and carefully remove the sensor from the oxygen concentration of the exhaust manifold. Inspect the sensor for signs of damage.
When removing the sensor, you can use a special composition to facilitate loosening by applying it on the thread of the sensor. Threadably new sensor, this composition has already been done, but if for some reason, the oxygen concentration sensor is removed, and then reinstalled prior to reinstalling the threads should cover such a composition.
Screw the sensor and tighten it.
Connect the electrical connector.
