Replace the oil filter and engine oil

Periodic replacement of oil and the oil filter - the most important preventive maintenance work.

In the operation of the engine oil is aging - becomes contaminated liquid and which leads to premature wear.

Change the oil must be carried out immediately after a trip to the not yet cooled down engine to better oil flew down together with pollution.

To change the oil and oil filter should be used the following equipment and materials:

- Appropriate engine oil specifications;

- oil filter;

- A new O-ring for oil drain plug;

- Container capacity of 6 liters for the collection of waste oil

(you can use the old cans of oil to cut the side wall or overage pelvis);

- The capacity for the disposal of waste oil;

- Funnel for pouring fresh oil;

- Cap strap wrench to loosen the oil filter;

- A wrench to loosen and screwing the oil drain plug.

You also need plenty of clean rags and newspapers to wipe any stains.

Warm up the engine to normal operating temperature.

Remove the cover from the oil filler cap located on the cylinder head cover.

Lift up the vehicle and place it in a horizontal position on a pit.

Place the container for oil gathering under the oil drain plug and unscrew the plug. If necessary, press a stopper when unscrew; that the oil does not flow prematurely drain the engine oil. When loosening the plug and drain the oil, be careful because the oil is hot.

Visually check the condition of the engine oil in the presence of metal chips and other impurities.

Clean cloth, clean the oil drain plug.

When the oil is completely drained, wipe around the oil drain plug and screw the drain plug with a new seal.

Move container for oil gathering under the oil filter.

Special key to loosen the oil filter, then turn out of his hand. After separating the filter from the cylinder immediately turn the flange with thread up to eliminate the discharge of oil from the filter.

Clean cloth, wipe the cylinder block to remove oil spilled when removing the filter, as otherwise when the engine oil will burn and smoke. Remains of oil would prevent proper installation and tightening of the new oil filter.

Make sure that the mating surfaces of the cylinder remained glued pieces filter gasket. Otherwise, remove them with a scraper.

Grease fresh engine oil sealing ring of the new oil filter and replace the oil filter gasket to contact with the cylinder block, then tighten the filter on? turnover.

Fill in the appropriate engine oil brand. After a few minutes, check the engine oil level and, if it is about the mark ?�F?�, close the oil filler cap.

Start up the engine for one minute, in order to start the engine oil to circulate through the engine.

Stop the engine and wait that oil has flown down in the pallet.

Check the oil level and top up if necessary. Check for oil leaks from the plug and oil filter, otherwise tighten the fasteners. On models with an oil cooler and check for leaks between the oil cooler and the cylinder block. If leaks are found, remove the oil radiator and replace the seal.
