If you look on top of the carburetor in the middle of the air filter housing, you can see a flat choke carburetor, at the top of the carburetor. Ask the assistant to press the accelerator pedal, choke carburetor should close completely. Start up the engine and watch it.
A WARNING Do not lean over the low-carb - the engine can give backfire, causing severe burns. When the engine is started the choke valve should be slightly open. |
Start up the engine and let it run at idle. As it warm up to operating temperature, the air damper should open slowly, letting in more air carburetor. After a few minutes of the engine air damper should be completely open and occupy a vertical position. When the engine check the surface of the axis of the air damper for possible deposits that can lead to jamming of the damper. To clean, use a special spray valve. Clean the damper shaft by turning the valve manually. Apply a spray lubricant on the contact surface traction and make sure that the damper moves freely.
