Check suspension and steering
Establish forward wheels for movement directly and gently turning the steering wheel in different directions, define a free wheeling of a steering wheel. Free running - is the angle at which the steering wheel is turned to the start of the rotation of the front wheels. The big free wheeling can be caused by wear of wheel bearings, ball joint of the lower arm, universal joint steering shaft or steering gear. Check the damper body shaking his corner. The body must be returned to its original position after it is released. If the body rises above the starting position and continues to wobble, most likely, shock absorber located on this side, it has failed and must be replaced. Check the shock absorber wear. Place the vehicle on a lift. Check wear and condition of the tires. Check the status of a universal joint between the steering shaft and steering gear casing. Check the steering gear housing for leaks fluid. Visually inspect the dirt-protecting covers of spherical hinges and protective covers rack and pinion steering gear for cracks, abrasions and aging. Any damage covers lead to loss of lubricant, water and dirt hit and as a result, a rapid deterioration of spherical hinges or steering. While an assistant turns the steering wheel from side to side, check the parts and components of a steering for wear and tightened. Check the condition and clearance of the lower hinge arm, trying to move the tire lever arm with respect to the disc wheel up and down. In the rear control arm bushings inspect the rear suspension.
