Check and replacement of components of system of stabilization of turns of idling

Working in the engine compartment, take care not to allow hands, hair and clothing details in contact with moving components such as belts, blades of the impeller fan, etc.

The valve of stabilization of turns of idling (IAC)

When the engine is idling, the composition of the air-fuel mixture is controlled by the valve of stabilization of turns of idling (IAC). Activation is made by IAC valve command PCM, depending on the current load on the engine (including an air conditioner, power steering use, the temperature of the unit, etc.). The valve regulates the air flow supplied to the inlet line bypassing the throttle valve. Initial PCM data received from the sensors VSS, ECT sensors-switches PSP and operation of the clutch of the compressor K / V. Depending on the current load on the engine unit adjusts the pace of its idling. To avoid compromising the stability of the idling speed when the engine starts IAC valve opens at the last turning point and remains open for a time immediately after the start, providing additional air flow in the inlet conduit.

CHECK

PERFORMANCE ORDER

Perform the following procedure may result in a memorized OBD fault, which will be displayed control lamp "Check up the engine". Upon completion of inspection and corresponding regenerative repair do not forget to clean the system memory (see. Section System of onboard diagnostics (OBD) - a principle of functioning and codes of malfunctions).

1. Check the supply voltage to the valve. Disconnect from the valve wiring. Turn on the ignition. Ground to ground the negative lead of the voltmeter and turn prozondiruyte positive probe each of the two terminals of the red wire harness connector, - the meter should register battery voltage, otherwise check up an electroconducting condition on a chain site between the relay ECCS and battery (do not forget the fuses) and the relay ECCS and valve IAC (see. the wiring diagram at the end of the Head the Onboard electric equipment).

2. To check the IAC valve, measure the resistance between the terminals of its connector. At a temperature of 20 ? C, the resistance should be approximately 30 ohms. If any deviations can not be identified, the car should be driven away on a car repair shop for detailed diagnostics of PCM.

REPLACEMENT

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Disconnect the wiring from the valve IAC.
2. On models 1993 and 1994 Vol. Disconnect the hose from the valve housing. Remove the four mounting bolts and release valve from the intake manifold.
3. On models since 1995 Vol. Remove the two fixing screws and remove the valve from the housing.
4. Clean cloth, wipe the outer surface of the valve and the wall of his landing slot.

In no case did not in any solvent flush valve!

5. Put the cover into a new sealing ring and lubricate it with liquid lubricating oil.
6. Install the valve on the regular place and tighten the fasteners.
7. The further installation is made in the reverse order of the dismantling of the respective components.

Solenoid valve of turns of fast idling

On models since 1995 Vol. There are two solenoid control valve of turns of fast idling. The valves provide stable engine speed regardless of changes in load current. One valve is activated when the power steering is activated, the second - when you turn on the air conditioner. Activation of the valves increases the intensity of the intake pipe into the intake air stream. System failure is not monitored OBD.

CHECK

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Run the engine until it stops and turn the steering wheel in any direction and then return it to its central position - the engine speed should not be changed, including K / V and should not lead to a change in turns, otherwise make inspection of the respective solenoid valve.

A - Solenoid valve compensation increase the load associated with the operation of power steering
B - Solenoid valve compensation increase the load associated with the operation of the K /

2. Disconnect the solenoid valve wiring. Connect the positive lead of the voltmeter to the terminal of the red-and-yellow or yellow-blue wire harness connector. The negative probe to ground. Ignition K / V connector on the valve must take place in the battery voltage, otherwise it is necessary to check the state of the wiring on the circuit between the valve and the mounting fuse box (do not forget to check the corresponding fuse). If the clutch compressor K / V does not work when you turn on the system and check the status of the corresponding relay. Check the condition of the gauge-switch PSP (see. Section Check and replacement of the gauge-switch of pressure in the system hydrostrengthening steering (the PSP)), and the quality of its grounding.
3. Turn the ignition off. by a pair of jumper wires, supplies power from the battery to the terminals of the corresponding electromagnetic valve - should hand clearly audible click, otherwise, the valve must be replaced. Remove the valve (see. Below) and check the freedom of movement of its plunger. If the plunger is jammed or broken retaining spring, the valve has to be replaced.

REPLACEMENT

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Disconnect the wiring from the solenoid valve of turns of fast idling.
2. Using a wrench, release the valve from the valve housing IAC.
3. Replace the copper sealing washer, then screw the valve on the regular place and strongly tighten it.
4. The further installation is made in the reverse order of the dismantling of the respective components.

Cam fast idling

The cam of fast idling is a thermocouple is used on models from 1995 MY. to increase the idle speed when starting a cold engine. While the engine is not warmed fuser plunger remains in its normal position and the cam fast idling affects the throttle lever, slug is retracted from the lock, which leads to an increase in the engine idling speed. As the engine warms up the plunger is retracted and turns the cam so. What is the lever returns to the basic position.

CHECKING AND ADJUSTING

PERFORMANCE ORDER

Perform the following procedure may result in a memorized OBD fault, which will be displayed control lamp "Check up the engine". Upon completion of inspection and corresponding regenerative repair do not forget to clean the system memory (see. Section System of onboard diagnostics (OBD) - a principle of functioning and codes of malfunctions).

1. Disconnect the wiring from the ECT sensor and connect an ohmmeter to the two terminals of the latter (see. Section Check and replacement of the gauge engine coolant temperature (ECT)).

2. Start the engine and observe the change in the resistance temperature sensor. When the resistance of the sensor reaches 1650 ÷ 2400 Ohm, a long mark on the cam of fast idling should be combined central part of the thumb of the executive arm.

3. Do not stop the engine, - when the resistance of the ECT sensor falls to a level 260 ÷ 390 ohms, with the central part of the finger should be combined short label cam otherwise loosen the lock nut and rotating the adjusting screw to achieve a desired result.
4. If the cam can not be adjusted, it is necessary to replace the throttle body (see chap. The power supply system and release).
