Removal and installation RSM



PERFORMANCE ORDER

Considered in this manual car models are equipped with additional safety (SRS). Before proceeding with any work near the airbag unit, steering column and instrument panel, disconnect SRS to avoid injury at its casual operation (see chap. Onboard electric equipment). Wiring of chain SRS is easy for distinguishing on yellow color of isolation.

To avoid damaging the PCM electrostatic discharge, try not to touch the connection terminals of the module. According to the ability to produce self-earthing.

Each time the battery is disconnected occurs cancellation operating parameters from the memory RSM, which can lead to destabilization of revolutions of the engine in the first few minutes after the first run.


1. The control module PCM assembly is placed in the center console of a vehicle, to the right of the accelerator pedal.
2. Disconnect the negative wire from the battery.

If installed on the car stereo is equipped with a security code before to disconnect the battery make sure that have a correct combination for equipment introduction in action!

3. Remove the side trim panel to the center console.

4. Disconnect the wiring from the PCM.

5. Remove the support bracket bolts control module.

6. Carefully remove the module assembly from the instrument panel.
7. Install in the reverse order.
