The system controlled crankcase ventilation (PCV)

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. PCV system is to reduce the emission into the atmosphere of hydrocarbon compounds by output from the engine crankcase. The purge unit is carried out by passing the air supplied from the crankcase through the fresh air, wherein it is mixed with the accumulated vapors and break out of the combustion chambers and the gas discharged through the PCV valve into the intake pipe.

2. The main components of the system include PCV valve, and filter purge collection vacuum hoses connecting these devices to the motor.
3. In order to maintain the stability of the idling speed PCV valve prevents flow purge at deep vacuum in the intake manifold. In case of infringement of serviceability of functioning of the engine (for example, when worn piston rings) system makes removal of excess gases through the crankcase ventilation tube back into the air cleaner.
4. A description of the verification procedures and replace the PCV valve is provided in Chapter Settings and maintenance.
