1. Remove the fuel pump assembly from the tank to the fuel flow sensor (see. Section Removal and installation of the fuel pump).  | 2. Connect the two terminals to the corresponding sensor connector ohmmeter. |
3. Lower the float assembly in the lowest position (empty tank) and read ohmmeter. Compare result to requirements of Specifications.
4. Set the float to its highest position (full tank) and repeat the measurement. Again compare the result with the nominal value.
5. If the measurements are outside the allowable range, or broken soundness reading the displacement of the float, the sensor assembly must be replaced.
6. On models 1993 and 1994 Vol. Remove the bearing bracket fuel pump and transfer it to the new assembly (see. Section Removal and installation of the fuel pump). On models since 1995 Vol. transfer to a new assembly the fuel temperature sensor.
7. Establish assemblage on the regular place in the tank (do not forget to replace the O-ring).
8. The further installation is made in the reverse order of dismantle of components. |
