Removal and installation of the fuel pump
REMOVAL | 1. Relieve the pressure in the supply system (see. Section Dropping the pressure in the supply) and remove the cap from the fuel filler. 2. Remove the rear seat (see chap. Body). | 3. Remove the access cover to the assembly of the fuel pump / fuel gauge. Disconnect the assembly wiring harness and move aside. |
| 4. Disconnect from the assembly line of fuel supply and return, remove the mounting screws. On models since 1995 Vol. Give the retaining ring. |

Models 1993 and 1994 Vol.
| | 1. Carefully remove the fuel pump assembly from the fuel flow from the fuel tank. | Try not to damage the float and not to bend his arm. |

| 2. Gently prying, remove the fuel pump strainer fuel standpipe. |
| 3. Release the coupling bolt fastening clamp assembly. |
| 4. Release the lower clamp on the fuel hose, disconnect the wiring harness and release the pump from the bearing bracket assembly. |

Models from 1995 MY.
| | 1. Carefully release the flow sensor assembly from the fuel tank, lifting it as high as possible. |
| 2. Slide down the fastening clamp and disconnect the hose from the fitting on the underside of the lid. |
| 3. Remove the cap from the fuel pump wiring. |
4. Drive assembly sensor fuel-lid side. | Try not to damage the float and not to bend his arm. |
| 5. Slipping his hand inside the fuel tank through an access opening, release the latch securing the casing and remove the fuel pump assembly from the tank last. |
6. Gently prying, remove the pump strainer fuel standpipe. Check the filter for signs of dirt and patency. Disconnect the hose from the exhaust nozzle of the pump. 7. Press the locking tabs and dismember the pump casing assembly into two halves. Remove the pump from the housing. |

INSTALLATION | 1. Assemble in the reverse order of dismantle of components. 2. Do not forget to clean the surface of the mating flange assembly and planting groove for the installation of the O-ring on the fuel tank. 3. Replace sealing rings, tuck into the tank assembly. 4. Observe the order of connection of fuel lines and their orientation with respect to the assembly and the tank. Firmly tighten the screws. 5. Restore initial connection of electrical wiring, replace the access cover and the rear seat assembly. |
