Removal, installation and adjustment of position of a cowl

Cowling has a decent weight, so you should enlist the support of an assistant.

1. Open the hood, then cover the wings of special plates or just old blankets to protect them from damage during the dismantling of the hood.

4. Ask the assistant to hold the hood and using the key unscrew the hinges thrust struts of the hood panel.

5. Without releasing the helper, remove the screws / bolts to the hood hinge brackets. Together, remove the hood.
6. Installation is the reverse order. When replacing the old hood make sure that the looped straps have been established taking into account applied in the process of dismantling the labels. If replacement of the hood, it is necessary to make adjustment of its provisions (see. Below).

4. 5. Finally, adjust the position of the rubber pads on the hood panel radiator support, ensuring that the hood in the closed position are flush with the wing surface.

6. Assembling the hood latch of the lock should be periodically (at the same time loops - see. Section Service hinges and locks the car) lubricated with lithium based grease to prevent sticking and premature wear.
