Check and adjustment of backlashes of valves
1. The work is recommended to perform a warm engine. 2. Warm up the engine. 3. Remove the cylinder head cover (Ch. 2). 4. Establish the piston of 1st cylinder at TDC compression stroke (Ch. 2). In this position, the crankshaft is measured valve clearance 1,2,4 and 6 (see photo). 5. Measure probe gaps in said valves. 6. If necessary, loosen the locknut and adjust the clearance by turning the screw. The probe should be held between a valve and a screw at a slight effort. 7. Hold the screw and tighten the lock nut and recheck the gap. 8. Turn the crankshaft one turn clockwise and check on the situation runner distributes ignition piston 4 ~ cylinder is at TDC compression stroke. Measure clearances 3,5,7 and 8 cylinders. 9. Install the cylinder head cover.
