Check the fuel system
Attention! When working to comply with fire safety regulations. Leakage fuel pipe injection engines is allowed only after decompression system (Ch. 4). |
1. A fuel tank is mounted in the rear. 2. The fuel system is best to check when the car is raised or hoist mounted on the stand, since some parts of the fuel system, such as a tank and a portion of the fuel line, is at the side of the bottom. 3. The fuel system needs urgent check if while driving or after parking under the sun there is a smell of gasoline. 4. Remove the fuel cap of the fuel tank and check it for signs of corrosion and damage to the lining. In laying should be observed a clear imprint of the edge of the filler neck. If necessary, replace the gasket. 5. Check that under the car, the condition of the tank and the cap. Especially inspect the connection to the tank neck. The presence of punctures, cracks and mechanical damage is not allowed. The cause of the leak can sometimes be a weakening of the connection rubber tube neck or the deterioration of the rubber. Such defects can be solved independently. Attention! Do not attempt to repair the fuel tank. |

6. Carefully examine all rubber hoses and the metal tubes extending from the tank. Check for loose connections, presence on hoses of wear, compression or other damage. Carefully check the condition of the pipes along the entire length. If necessary, repair the damaged sections of the pipeline, or replace. 7. If the smell of gasoline saved, check the injection system (Ch. 4).
