Checking tire (every 400 kilometers or weekly)

Maintaining the tires boils down to check tread depth, tire pressure (checked on cold tires), revealing traces of abnormal wear or damage, which can determine the condition of the parts front suspension and steering. (Photo).

Regularly remove stones stuck in the tread or sharp objects. Periodically remove the wheels and clean the outer and inner surface of the disk from dirt. If in doubt about the consequences of any damage found, then consult the tire center. Swap the wheel at specified intervals (see. Below).

Types and causes of wear of the tire tread
Types and causes of wear of the tire tread

Types and causes of wear of the tire tread
1.   Side tread wear
Reasons:
insufficient pressure in the tire (tread wear sides)
wrong camber of the front wheels (one-sided tread wear).
cornering at high speed
long rides without having to move the wheels
Remedy:
check the pressure and restore to normal
Repair or replace suspension parts
driving at a moderate speed
move the wheel

2. Transverse angular wear
Reasons:
Improper wheel alignment
Remedy:
Adjust toe

3.   Wear the central part of the tire
Reasons:
increased pressure in the tires long rides without having to move the wheels
Remedy:
check the pressure and restore to normal, move the wheel

4. Uneven wear
Reasons:
violation of camber or caster angle of the axis of rotation
Abnormal operation of the front suspension
unbalance wheel
ovality of brake drum
long rides without having to move the wheels

Remedy:
Repair or replace suspension parts
Balance the wheel
Pierce or replace the drum
Move the wheel
