Replacement of the fuel filter



1. The work is performed on a cold engine.
Carbureted engines, mechanical pump
2. The fuel filter is mounted on the right front corner of the engine compartment.
3. Loosen the hose clamps and slide them to the unions.
4. Carefully remove the hoses.
5. Remove the filter from the bracket and install the new filter, connect hoses and tighten clamps. Start the engine and check for leaks.
Electric Pump
B. The filter is mounted on the right side of the frame, next to the pump. Access to the filter difficult. Drain the gasoline tank and loosen the clamps and move them from the union (photo).
7. Carefully remove the hoses.
8. Remove the filter clips, drawing attention to the its orientation direction (arrow indicates the direction of flow). Install the new filter, connect hoses and tighten clamps. Start the engine and check for leaks otsutsvtii.

Injection engine
9. Complete decompression of the fuel system (Ch. 4)
10. Loosen the hose clamps and slide them to the unions (see photo).
11. Carefully remove the hoses.
12. Loosen the clamp and remove the filter.
13. Remove the filter, pay attention to its orientation direction (arrow indicates the direction of flow). Install the new filter, connect hoses t tighten the clamps. Start the engine and check for leaks.
