Substitution coolant
1. From time to time it is necessary to wash the cooling system and replace coolant to prevent corrosion and scaling. When servicing the cooling system should be checked and, if necessary, replace all the hoses and cap the neck of the radiator. 2. Set the parking brake and block the wheels. 3. On a cold engine, unscrew the cap of the radiator neck. 4. Place a drain hole under the sink a vessel suitable container. On engines V6 unscrew the vent valve by turning counterclockwise until failure (photo). 5. Once all the liquid is drained from the radiator, move the containers under the drain plug of the cylinder. On 4-cylinder engines, the plug is on the left rear of the unit, no V6 engines up to 1990 - for the generator on V6 engines after 1990 - 2 plugs near the generator and near the right engine support. 6. Check the condition of all hoses and connections. 7. Replace any damaged hoses. 8. Once the liquid drain, rinse under running water radiator. 9. The rust and scale in the cylinder block and in the pipes can be removed by chemical means, which are used in accordance with manufacturer's instructions When very dirty radiator, mechanical damages and leaks, the radiator should be removed and take in for repair. 10. Rinse the surge tank. 11. Screw and tighten the drain plugs. 12. Slowly pour fresh coolant from the water and antifreeze 50/50, to fill the radiator. Add a liquid in a tank to the bottom mark. At the close the valve V6 engine 13. The open top of the radiator, start the engine warm up the engine until the top was! It does not become hot. 14. Stop the engine and let cool. Add a liquid to the bottom of the neck of the radiator. 15. Remove air by pushing on the top tube, close the cap. 16. Warm up the engine and check for leaks.
