brake fluid



Brake fluid reservoir is located on the left in the engine compartment. Cork has a tank vent, which should not be blocked.

Brake fluid absorbs moisture. Therefore, during operation of the vehicle brake fluid takes a certain amount of water from the ambient air.

Too much water content of the brake fluid may eventually corrode parts of the service braking system. Furthermore, this significantly decreases when the boiling point of brake fluid.

Therefore it is necessary every two years to change the brake fluid.


A warning

In very old brake fluid may under heavy load on the braking system, the occurrence of vapor bubbles in the system. This adversely affects the efficiency of the braking system and thus traffic safety.

You must use only the recommended brake fluid (specification of US FMVSS 116 DOT 4).

Brake fluid is poisonous. Therefore, it should be stored only in a closed original container, and especially out of the reach of children. Furthermore, it should be borne in mind that brake fluid destroys paint.
