Assembling automatic transmission



The sequence of assembly of an automatic transmission (step 1)

1 - a casing of the inverter;
2 - O-ring;
3 - oil seals;
4 - shim;
5 - bearing rings;
6 - a casing bearing assembly;
7 - output gear;
8 - idler gear;
9 - the bearing housing;
10 - baffle;
11 - cylindrical pin;
12 - Battery 2-3;
13 - differential.

The sequence of assembly of an automatic transmission (step 2)

1 - parking latch assembly;
2 - parking secondary arm;
3 - support the switch;
4 - the plate and shaft of the manual valve;
5 - an arm;
6 - locking ball, spring pad and plug;
7 - brake for low-speed and reverse;
8 - output sleeve;
9 - the gearbox housing.

The sequence of assembly of an automatic transmission (step 3)

1 - the turbine shaft;
2 - Coupling 3-4;
3 - internal gear;
4 - snap ring;
5 - friction disc;
6 - one-roll 2 and the clutch hub carrier assembly;
7 - servo tape;
8 - Anchor and strut shaft;
9 - brake tape 2-4;
10 - small sun gear and the clutch is a one-roll 1;
11 - a clutch assembly;
12 - snap ring;
13 - piston rod.

The sequence of assembly of an automatic transmission (step 4)

1 - the oil pump;
2 - control valve;
3 - a connector assembly;
4 - a casing housing the control valves;
5 - oil receiver;
6 - the oil pan;
7 - Oil pipe;
8 - breather hose;
9 - Sensor delay;
10 - pulse generator;
11 - a tube for oil filling and level meter;
12 - a shaft of the oil pump;
13 - torque converter.


A warning

Select shims under Chapter "Pre-load bearing."

If the driving wheels or brake band 2-4 replaced by new, before installing the new nodes to saturate ATF ATF, at least two hours.

Before assembly, apply ATF to the transmission fluid all gaskets, O-rings, rotary and friction parts.

All O-rings, oil seals and gaskets must be replaced.

When reassembling, use petroleum jelly, but do not grease the.

If it is necessary to replace the plug, replace the item (node) having the same sleeve.

After applying sealant assembly must be made within 10 minutes and let stand 30 minutes before filling liquid for an automatic transmission.

BEARING AND RING REF. 2, 3 and 4 are a single node.


PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Align the bearing housing using the guide bolts as shown in the figure, and press it. Install and tighten the mounting bolts.

The inhaling moment: 10,8-13,7 N ??? m

2. Press fit the bearing ring in the casing of the inverter.
3. Assemble the special tool.
4. Install and parasitic output gear driving them with a plastic hammer.
5. Set the selected shims and bearing ring in the bearing housing using a special tool-punch and a hammer.
6. Install the bearing housing as follows:

A warning

Tighten the bolts evenly and gradually.


- Install the bearing housing on the housing converter;

Torque: 19-25 N ??? m

- Align the slot on the shaft idler gear with the mark on the bearing housing;
- Punch and hammer, install a new roll pin.
7. Install piston accumulator 2-3 as follows:

- Establish a spring return valve nozzle and check valve;
- Apply ATF to the new O-rings and install them on the Battery 2-3;
- Install the battery 2-3.

The inhaling moment: 7,9-10,7 N ??? m

8. Place the ring of the bearing in the bearing housing.
9. Install differential.
10. Install the selected shims and bearing ring in the gearbox housing.
11. Install the parking lock as follows:

- Set the parking lock and the shaft;

A warning

Do not deform snap ring during installation.


- Establish a spring and snap ring.
12. Install the parking lever and snap ring.
13. Establish a support switch.

The inhaling moment: 10,8-13,7 N ??? m
14. Install the shaft and manual valve plate as follows:

- Set the manual valve plate: spacer washer and nut;
- Tighten the nut torque;

Torque: 42-54 N ??? m

- Establish an arm;

The inhaling moment: 7,9-10,7 N ??? m

- Set the retaining ball, a spring washer and a cap. Tighten the cap;

The inhaling moment: 11,8-17,6 N ??? m

- Move the manual valve shaft and make sure the parking pawl is working properly.

15. Set the output to the input gear sleeve and install the thrust bearing in the output sleeve.

The outer diameter of the thrust bearing: 71.0 mm

16. Apply a thin coat of silicone sealant to the contact surface of the converter housing and the transmission housing.

A warning

Do not damage the O-ring during installation.


17. Install new O-ring in the housing of the converter.

A warning

Tighten the bolts evenly and gradually.


18. Install the transmission housing on the cover of the inverter.

Torque: 38-51 N ??? m

19. Install the engine support ?��1.

Torque: 68-77 N ??? m


A warning

Unsuccessful installation of special tools can cause chipping of the teeth of the differential side gears.


20. Install the special tool in the differential side gears.
21. Install the special tool to support the turbine shaft.
22. Install the turbine shaft and the clutch assembly 3-4 as follows:

- Assemble the turbine shaft and the clutch assembly 3-4;
- Make sure the correct installation of bearings and rings;
- Install the turbine shaft and coupling 3-4 assembly in the gearbox housing.
23. Install the special tool so that it is pushing back the turbine shaft.
24. Establish an internal gear as follows:
- Establish an internal gear to the output sleeve;

A warning

Do not deform snap ring during installation.


- Set the snap ring.
25. Establish the plug carrier assembly as follows:

- Make sure that the bearing and the bearing ring mounted in the correct position;
- Maintain the turbine shaft with one hand in order to prevent its rotation;
- Install the plug carrier assembly in the 3-4 clutch drum by means of its rotation.
26. Install the friction disk.
27. Install one-way clutch 2 as follows:

- Maintain a one-way clutch 2 horizontally;
- Set its rotation hub carrier counter-clockwise;
- Set the snap ring.
28. Set the servo feed in the gearbox housing as follows:

- Install the servo return spring and servo tape;
- Squeeze the actuator;
- Set the snap ring.
29. Install the piston rod.
30. Gently tighten the piston rod by hand.

A warning

Place the slot in the up position.


31. Install the anchor brace.

A warning

Hook anchor strut brake tape 2-4, as shown in the figure.


32. Set the brake band 2-4 in the gearbox housing so as to be in a fully expanded state.
33. Install the small sun gear and one-way clutch 1 as follows:

- Make sure that the thrust bearing and the ring mounted in the correct position;
- Establish a small sun gear and one-way clutch assembly 1 by means of its rotation.
34. Install the coupling assembly as follows:

- Make sure that the thrust bearing is installed in the correct position;
- Install the coupling assembly by means of its rotation.

A warning

Measure the height difference between the front and rear reel speed and the gearbox housing.
If you do not meet the values repeat the assembly, since Step 22.

The difference in height: 0,7-1,9 mm



A warning

Do not deform snap ring during installation.


35. Install the new snap ring grooves on the bottom of the turbine shaft.
36. Use the following procedure to adjust the total mechanical play and select the appropriate ring of the bearing:

- Install the thrust bearing on the block coupling assembly;
- Remove the bearing ring and the lining of the oil pump;
- Set the thinnest bearing ring (2.2 mm) on the oil pump;
- Establish the oil pump on the block coupling assembly;
- Measure the clearance A between the gearbox and the oil pump;

A warning

Make several measurements and calculate the average.


- Choose a suitable ring of the bearing from the table below;

- Remove the oil pump;
- Place the chosen ring of the bearing and a new gasket to the oil pump;

A warning

Tighten the bolts evenly and gradually. If it is difficult to tighten the bolts, it is possible that the gasket is not in place. Remove the oil pump and move the gasket.


- Establish the oil pump on the block coupling assembly;

Torque: 19-25 N ??? m

- Install the oil pipe.
37. Adjust the brake band 2-4 as follows:
- Loosen the lock nuts and tighten the piston rod to torque;

The inhaling moment: 11,8-14,7 N ??? m

- Unscrew the piston rod 1.5 turns;
- Holding the piston rod, tighten the lock nut to the specified torque.

Torque: 25-39 N ??? m

38. Install new O-ring and drains for the gearbox.

The inhaling moment: 7,9-10,7 N ??? m


A warning

Fix the magnets on the inside of the oil tray in the places indicated in the figure.


39. Install a new gasket and oil pan.

The inhaling moment: 8,4-10,7 N ??? m


A warning

Tighten the bolts evenly and gradually.


40. Align the manual valve with a pin on his plate and set the control valve body in the transmission.

The inhaling moment: 10,8-14,7 N ??? m

41. Install new O-ring on the connector assembly.
42. Set the connector assembly.
43. Pick the color bundles and connect the solenoid connector and temperature sensor ATF.

A warning

Tighten the bolts evenly and gradually.

If it is difficult to tighten the bolts, it is possible that the gasket is not in place. Remove the oil pan and transfer pad.


44. Establish a new lining and a casing housing the control valves.

The inhaling moment: 8,4-10,7 N ??? m

45. Install the steel ball, spring, oil pipe and seal.
46. Install the connecting bolt.

The inhaling moment: 11,8-17,6 N ??? m

47. Install a pulse generator.

Torque: 5,4-7,8 N ??? m

48. Set the deceleration sensor.
49. Adjust the deceleration sensor as follows:

- Connect an ohmmeter to terminals A and H;

- Turn the manual valve shaft fully counterclockwise, and then return it to position N;
- Adjust the switch at the point where there is continuity between terminals;
- Tighten the switch.

The inhaling moment: 7,9-10,7 N ??? m

50. Remove the gearbox with a special tool (bracket).
51. Set the transmission level meter ATF transmission fluid and oil filler tube with a new seal.

Torque: 6,9-9,8 N ??? m
52. Install the oil pump shaft.
53. Install new O-ring on the shaft of the turbine.
54. Fill a clean transmission torque converter automatic transmission fluid, if it has been drained.

ATF Type: Dexron ll or III-M

55. Install the torque converter to the inverter housing as it rotates to align the slots.

A warning

When filling the transmission fluid torque converter automatic transmission, keep it in an upright position, do not overfill the fluid.

If the transmitter is hard to sit down, do not apply excessive force; installing cautiously and carefully.


56. In order to ensure that the torque converter is installed accurately measure the distance A between the end of the torque converter and the face of the transmitter housing.

A Distance: 14.0 mm
