Testing of teamwork of an automatic transmission and the engine for the motionless car

The test is performed to determine whether there is slippage of the friction elements or irregularities in the hydraulic components.

Preparation

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Before the test, check and if necessary adjust the coolant level, engine oil and transmission fluid ATF.
2. Start up the engine before warming up of a transmission to temperature 60 ~ 70 ? C.
3. Apply the parking brake and V-Chock the front and rear wheels.
4. Connect the engine tachometer.

Testing

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Start up the engine.
2. Check the engine speed of the engine idling and the selector position "P".

Specifications

The frequency of rotation of the crankshaft of the engine idling: 800 ? 50 min -1
Ignition timing (BTDC): 10 ? 1 ? (Contact TEN of a diagnostic socket is earthed)
3. Move the selector lever to position "R".

A warning

To avoid damage to the gearbox, follow steps 4 and 5 for 5 seconds.

4. The left foot press to lock the brake pedal and the right foot gently press the accelerator pedal.
5. If the engine speed of the engine is no longer increasing, read tachometer readings and release the accelerator pedal.

A warning

Engine operation for at least one minute at idling speed transmission fluid cools and prevents deterioration of its properties.

Before each subsequent testing for a sufficient time and cool the transmission.

6. With the engine running, move the selector lever to position N and leave the engine running at idle speed for at least one minute.
7. Similarly swipe tests in the following positions selector lever:

a. at position D;
b. a gap S;
c. at position L.

The engine speed of the engine during testing of teamwork of an automatic transmission and the engine for the motionless car: 2200-2800 min -1

Evaluation of the results of testing of teamwork of an automatic transmission and the engine for the motionless car.

Condition
possible cause
The above mentioned rate All provisions Insufficient pressure transmission fluid Worn oil pump
Leaks in the oil pump, control valve and / or the transmission housing
The provisions of the forward stroke Slippage forward clutch
1 one-way clutch slip
Position D Slip one-way clutch 2
To S (keeping of transfer) and L (keeping of transfer) Slip clutch coasting
Regulation D (keeping of transfer) and S (keeping of transfer) Slippage gear brake 2-4
Position R, L and L (keeping of transfer) Slippage brake for low speed and reverse
To R Slippage brake for low speed and reverse

Slip clutch reverse

Test the movement of inertia, and determine whether the faulty reverse brake or reverse clutch

1) loaded motor brake in position L (keeping of transfer)
-> Fixed a problem with the clutch

2) The loaded motor can not brake at position L (keeping of transfer)
-> Brake for low speed and reverse
Here specified speed The motor is defective
Slip one-way clutch in the torque converter
