Search and definition of malfunctions
Problems with the automatic transmission can be connected to the engine control unit an automatic transmission, or hydraulic or electronic control systems.
Troubleshooting begins with the places that can be quickly and easily checked.
Recommended search sequence described below. Step 1: Self-test
When using the tester KJ-1 service check codes, which are recorded in the control unit of an automatic transmission. A warning Service codes displayed by the flashing light indicating a fault (hold mode of transmission) by grounding connector DGI, as shown in the figure.
Step 2: Check the electrical signal
When using the tester KJ-1, check the input and output signals of the control unit automatic transmission. A warning The signals can also be checked by measuring the voltage with a voltmeter on the connectors of the control unit of an automatic transmission.
Step 3: Check the mechanical system
Check the value of the critical engine speed, delay time, the line pressure and the throttle pressure. Step 4: Road tests A warning In order to hold credible trials vehicle speed, engine speed, throttle opening (throttle position sensor voltage) and the position of the gear, to check them, use a tester KJ-1.
Check the transmission shift points for their consistency and impact loads when switching.
After checking each of these items is necessary to find the cause of the malfunction. To speed up searches use the table of fast diagnostics.
This table lists the 24 possible cause of the problem, which accelerates troubleshooting; only check these possible causes when troubleshooting malfunctions.
