Checking the fuel mixture depletion when coasting

System depletion fuel mixture when coasting installed on models with a manual transmission. It is intended for supplying secondary air into the intake manifold at deceleration, which reduces the content of harmful hydrocarbons and nitrogen oxides in exhaust gases.
Start up the engine and warm it up to normal operating temperature. Stop the engine and remove the air filter.

Connect a voltmeter to check the valve depletion fuel mixture when coasting
Fig. 2.25. Connect a voltmeter to check the valve depletion fuel mixture when coasting: In - pin terminal

Remove the pin of the depletion of the fuel mixture when coasting. Connect a voltmeter to the terminal "B" terminal and the "mass" (Fig. 2.25).
Start up the engine. Increase the engine speed to 3000 min -1, then abruptly release the accelerator and watch the voltmeter. At speeds over 2100 min -1 +100 voltage must be registered below this frequency voltmeter should show 12 V. Stop the engine and disconnect the voltmeter.

Supply voltage from the battery to check the valve depletion fuel mixture when coasting

Check valve operation depletion fuel mixture when coasting, the battery voltage is applied, as shown in Fig. 2.26. When voltage is applied, you should hear a click.

The polarity of the connection of the voltmeter to the connector when checking engine idle switch of the depletion of the fuel mixture when coasting and the location of the adjusting screw (1)
Fig. 2.27. The polarity of the connection of the voltmeter to the connector when checking engine idle switch of the depletion of the fuel mixture when coasting and the location of the adjusting screw (1)

Check idling switch as follows. Start up the engine and connect a voltmeter to the connector, as shown in Fig. 2.27. When the engine is idling the voltage is not to be registered. Increase the speed of the crankshaft of the engine and check that at a frequency of more than 1200-1300 min -1 voltmeter readings were 12 V. If necessary, turn the adjusting screw until the switch until you get the correct readings.
Stop the engine, remove the voltmeter and set the air filter.
