Cable Throttle (DD)
DIESEL ENGINE A warning The cable is very sensitive to bending and, therefore, the installation requires careful handling. The only slight bend may cause later breakage during operation of the vehicle. Therefore, the cables which have been previously bent, should not be installed.
Withdrawal
PERFORMANCE ORDER | 1. The engine capacity of 2.0 liters: unhook the throttle cable (230) on the adjustment lever (208). To do this, depress the guide member (240). | 2. Engines of 2.2 / 2.5 L: unhook the throttle cable on the spherical head of the guide arm. | 3. Squeeze the plastic spring clip (228) and pull the cable drive of the support (225). | 4. Remove the cover under the dashboard. | 5. Unhook the fastening rope drive (arrow) on the lever of the accelerator pedal (223). To do this, unhook the return spring (235) and pull out the holder (233/2) with spacers. | 6. Press from the interior of the vehicle outside the control cable gas. It does not squeeze the rubber grommet. | 7. Remove the complete cable throttle. |

Setting PERFORMANCE ORDER | 1. Grease throttle cable between the guide element and tip corrosion grease type Mercedes-000 989 5110. | 2. Note: The vehicle with automatic transmission wire throttle control is set in its bracket with the spring (arrow). This increases the path pedal arm and given the opportunity to switch off the accelerator pedal. | 3. Check for damage or porosity of the rubber grommet (231) and replace if necessary. | 4. Pull the throttle cable in the interior of the car and hang on the throttle lever. Pry the return spring. | 5. Fit the cover under the dashboard. | 6. Enter the throttle cable through the hole in the support, push the support and secure. | 7. The engine capacity of 2.0 liters: Hook the throttle cable at the adjusting lever and secure it with the guide member (240). | 8. Engine capacity of 2.2 / 2.5 L: press the throttle cable on the spherical head of the guide arm. | 9. Adjust the throttle cable. |
