Installing intermediate shaft and sprocket

Engine M 110

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. With mandrel soft metal press in the rear bearing shaft flush with the engine block. Make sure the groove occupied the topmost position.
  2. Place the front bearing on the intermediate shaft, then brushing the rear bearing, insert both bearings in the engine block. Make sure that the woodruff key is in the groove of the shaft.
  3. Put the retaining washer with the bolt and spring-loaded split ring and tighten the bolt.
  4. Install the intermediate shaft sprocket and pull the shaft using the bolt. Make sure that the chain engages with the sprocket teeth.
  5. Insert the bolt with oil lines, and a washer and tighten them to the specified torque, locking the intermediate gear.
  6. Insert the bolt limiting circuit in the engine block and tighten.
  7. Attach the leash to the intermediate gear, then install the distributor housing with a new gasket and align the groove of the pinion with the leash. Insert and tighten the screws.
  8. If it's by design, insert the pressure reducing valve lubrication in the bracket TDC sensor. Grease the threads of the plug sealing paste, insert and tighten the cap.
  9. Install vibration damper and pulley, insert and tighten the screws.
  10. Using bolts enter the oil pump drive shaft engages with the pump.
  1. Lightly grease the sealing plug and paste it in the press in the engine block of the drive shaft of the oil pump.

Engine M 123

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Lubricate the front bearing of the intermediate shaft and put it on the intermediate shaft, and then insert them into the unit, directing bearing recess for the bolt holes. Make sure that the segment was key in the groove of the shaft.
  2. Put the retaining washer and tighten the bolt.
  3. Install the idler gear shaft and remove the shaft by means of a removable bolt. Make sure that the chain is meshed with the sprocket teeth.
  4. Insert and tighten the bolt, locking the intermediate star.
  5. Insert the bolt of the restrictive distribution chain in the cylinder block and tighten.
  6. Insert the right branch of the chain guide and center hole for the thumb. Put a little toothpaste on the sealing flange and press in his finger with a hammer in the cylinder block.
  7. Install vibration damper and pulley, insert and tighten the screws.
  8. Enter the camshaft sprocket engages with the chain and put it on the camshaft. Insert and tighten the bolt, locking the star with a metal rod, missed one of her holes.
  9. Put the cover on the front of the cylinder block with a new gasket, insert the bolts and tighten them evenly.
  10. Where required by the design, set the height of the hydraulic pump control system rear suspension.
  11. After making sure that the piston of 1st cylinder is still in TDC, replace the ignition distributor shaft so that the slot is approximately parallel to the cylinder block and a segment was sent to the engine. After installing chain tensioner, this parallelism should be re-checked.
  12. Install the guide casing and spacer distributor, then insert and tighten the bolt.

For all models

If the engine is attached to the vehicle, perform in reverse order all preliminary operations.
