This part of the chapter is devoted not connected with the extraction of the car (in situ) V6 SOHC engine repair series VG30E 3.0 liters. A description of all procedures that require the dismantling of the power unit, is shown in Part total overhaul of the engine in this chapter.

Descriptions of most of the considered procedures are based on the assumption that the power unit remains on the regular place in the engine compartment of the car. In view of the above, if the engine has already been removed and mounted on a mounting stand or work bench, many of the described steps need to be omitted.
