Removal and installation of a flywheel / drive disc

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Poddomkratte car and establish it on props. Remove the transmission (see chap. Transmission).

The engine should be put up on top of the winch or beam.

2. On models with Manual transmission, remove the clutch assembly (see chap. Coupling and power shafts). Immediately check the condition of the components and the clutch pilot bearing.
3. On models with AT is the time to check the condition and replace front oil seal / O-ring pump.
4. markers or paint mark the position of the flywheel / drive disk relative to the end face of the crankshaft.

5. Remove the flywheel bolts / disk drive to the crankshaft. If in the process of easing of bolts of the shaft begins to rotate, wedge a screwdriver or pry bar between the teeth of the flywheel (Manual transmission) or thread the long knockout in one of the holes of the drive disk, resting her to the ledge on the block (AT).

6. Remove the flywheel / drive plate to crankshaft.

Weight assembly flywheel / drive disk is very significant - it is reasonable to have recourse to an assistant. Wear gloves to avoid cutting hands on the sharp edge of the tooth crown assembly.

7. Wipe the flywheel cloth soaked in acetone, completely removing from it the traces of oil and grease. Check the working surface of the flywheel for cracks, furrows left by heads of rivets friction clutch, signs of overheating and seizure. Small defects can be eliminated by using fine sandpaper. Check the ring gear for cracks and chipped teeth. Place the flywheel on a flat surface in order to assess its flatness (planarity use the meter). If necessary to give the assembly bore.
8. Wipe the mating surfaces of the flywheel / drive disc and the crankshaft. If there are signs of leakage of oil through the crankshaft rear oil seal, make its replacement (see. Section Replacing crankshaft rear oil seal).

INSTALLATION

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Establish a flywheel / drive plate to the crankshaft, - track correctness of combination caused during the dismantling of the assembly of landing labels.

On some engines provided a guide pin or the fixing holes are arranged asymmetrically, ensuring uniqueness planting assembly. Before screwing the mounting bolts, grease the threaded portion of the fixing sealant.

2. locking the flywheel / drive plate from turning, tighten the new fixing screws with the required torque in a diagonal manner.

Flywheel bolts / disk drive must be replaced without fail.

3. The further installation is made in the reverse order of dismantle of components.
