Removal, check of a condition and installation of the oil pump

1. Remove the gas distribution belt and timing gears (see. Section Removal and installation of the timing belt and timing gears). Remove the pan (see. Section Removal and installation of the sump).
2. Remove adjusting lath of the generator and remove the strap bolt to the oil pump (see chap. Electric motor).

3. Otboltite steering pump assembly (see chap. Suspension and steering), and slide it to the side without disconnecting the hydraulic lines. Remove the steering pump bracket.

4. Remove the bolts of the oil pump to the engine block. Maslozabornika tube packed with the filter may be left connected to the pump. One of the bolts securing the pump assembly is a twist on the stage, as described in paragraph 2, a long bolt of an adjusting lath of the generator.

5. With a view to the destruction of the sealant Tap the pump assembly with a hammer through a wooden block.
6. Pull out, remove the pump from the engine block.
7. Scrape with the mating surfaces of the pump and engine block all traces of sealant, and fragments of the old gasket material, then wipe the surface with a cloth soaked in acetone.

1. Using a large screwdriver, cruciform screwdriver remove the screws fixing the rear cover of the oil pump.

2. Wash all the components in a solvent, and then check them for signs of excessive wear or mechanical damage.

3. Remove the cover and take out the components of the pressure reducing valve. Assess the sliding surface of the valve and the spring. In case of defects, replace the components in the kit. 1 - Plug 2 - Disc 3 - Spring 4 - Valve

4. Use a blade-type probe to determine the value of working backlashes of gear pump .. verification subject to the following gaps:

a) Axial play internal landing gear in the pump housing;
b) the outer axial backlash landing gear in the pump housing;
c) The gap between the image surface of the outer gear and the pump housing;
d) The gap between the teeth of the outer gear and crescent partition;
e) The gap between the teeth of the inner rotor and the crescent partition;
Compare results of measurements to requirements of Specifications. If necessary, replace the pump assembly.

5. Type in the pump with petroleum jelly. Replace the cover and tighten the screws of its fastening with demanded effort. Replace the components of the pressure reducing valve, and tighten the screw cap.

6. Replace the O-ring, connect the pump tubing assembly maslozabornika. Tighten the tube with the required effort.

1. Coat the mating surface of the pump sealant RTV.

2. Components made in the reverse order of their removal. Do not forget to replace the seals. Lyskov internal hub gear pump should enter into engagement with mating flats in the journal of the crankshaft. Track, that all fixture has been tightened with demanded effort.
