Chain and sprockets - removal and installation



Withdrawal
1. Remove the front cover.
2. Remove the bolt tensioner shoe and pacifier, remove these parts (see photo).
3. Reject the bolt and the camshaft sprocket (See above.).
4. Remove the chain.
5. Remove the slinger, the oil pump drive gear and sprocket (photo).
6. Check the sprocket teeth, comparing the profiles of the teeth on both sides. If you find a hooked replace the sprocket teeth.
7. The circuit varies with worn sprockets or every 48,000 km. The chain must also be replaced when it detects signs of wear rollers.
8. Establish an asterisk on a camshaft and check the axial clearance, which must not exceed 0.2 mm.

9. Check the condition of the tensioner dampers and replace if necessary.
Setting
10. Rotate the camshaft so that the valves of 1st cylinder have been closed. Crankshaft set so that the piston 1 st cylinder is in TDC.
11. Install the dampers.
12. Replace the slinger, the oil pump drive gear and the drive sprocket on the toe of the crankshaft. Make sure that the marks on the drive sprocket facing forward (see photo).
13. Before installing the crankshaft chain is not allowed.

14. Place the chain over the camshaft sprocket, then start the drive sprocket. Tighten the camshaft sprocket bolt. During assembly note the following:
a). Crankshaft The key must be turned up.
b). The links of the chain with a distinctive color must be aligned with the marks on the sprockets, and located on the right when viewed from the front (see photo).
at). Camshaft dowel pin must go into the hole in the sprocket number 2 (photo).
15. Install the tensioner, adjust the position of the left pacifier so that the gap between the housing and the tensioner shoe was missing (see photo).
16. Install the front cover.
